Does anyone know how long it takes for symptoms of PML to start showing up after Rituxan? Is there a test that checks for it? I have read the Rituxan stuff befroe but something told me to read the info again. The Precautions part specifically. Vision changes, some loss of coordination, clumsy at times, fumble when using tools, memory loss, Dizziness when standing from a seated posisition at times. When I move my eyes side to side I get dizzy. The noggen just does not feel right. I just thought my mind was playing tricks on me.
I am a little freaked out right now!!

It can be any time, days, weeks or months. Hopefully you've just freaked yourself out so you are imagining it which is very easy to do but a check up with the doctor is in order. An MRI scan is maybe called for to set your mind at rest.

By the way, dizziness when standing up from seated is often a sign of a change in blood pressure and is said to be common in autoimmune conditions and is not really a sign of PML.

Dean instead of freaking out and getting shingles [I got shingles when I freaked out I'd have to go back on prednisone when my count tanked - turns out I didn't go on prednisone because I refused it, got WinRho instead, freaked myself into a case of shingles that didn't have to happen!] why not call your doctor?

One of the best quotes I know is the one in my signature:

-Instead of wasting your time worrying about symptoms, just get it checked out. -Nieca Goldberg, MD
