I love my new heama was created by shen08
Hey again,

I just seen my new doctor at home and I am surprised at how good and thorough he was even though my platelets were at 74. Doctors make such a big difference and he has talked me through everything. I only wish I had seen him from the start.

I am hoping that platelets in the 70s are my new normal and not a sign that they are on the incline again. Hes also trying to get me referred to a new rhematologist. Hes also seen how the link between the CMV and ITP could very well be coincidence rather than connected. He seems to have a lot of experience with ITP compared to the consultant i had in England.

I think I just wanted to share this as any of my previous posts where mainly a rant.

Sandi how are you doing? I am struggling to get through the posts (sorry for bein lazy)

Hey there! I'm glad you have some good news! Liking your doctor is important. I hope your counts level off. Good luck with the Rheumatologist and keep me posted.

I'm doing ok, thanks for asking. One crisis after another, but surviving it.

Hi Shen

Yes, ITP is considered rare in England so you be very lucky to find a heamo that has a lot of experience. Though saying that since attending day ward for a month I did meet two others with ITP but that the first since 1994.... They do know what to do out here but not as experienced as the States no doubt. Sorry you had a poor time as my first Hemo whilst was an old fashioned doctor, he gave the impression he knew what he was doing and the treatment worked for him. I now have a modern doctor and the treatment don't seem to know how to obey him (ha-ha as if the treatment obeys doctors but just thought that a difference approach of wording it)

Anyways sorry you didn't get on with the one and hope you continue to be happy with present one.
