can you tell? was created by iam4ual
Okay I know this will be a dumb question, but I have to ask.

Does anyone on here feel like they know when their platelets are going up? I have been feeling the same way I felt when I was on steroids. Kinda jumpy, for lack of better words. The last time I felt this way my platelets jumped 30000. I am due to go for blood work tomorrow so I guess I will find out. But I just wondered if anyone felt different when theirs went up? I also do not feel as tired.

Nope - I've been surprised by platelet counts both ways. There were times when I thought they were up and they weren't, and times when I thought they were down and they weren't.

Good luck and I hope your intuition is right!

I guess I'd have to say no, can't tell when they are going up. But I can tell when they are going down! Not so much with bruises and petecheia but with fatigue. I can tell a difference in my tiredness. There is a really big difference between tiredness and fatigue. When my counts are on the down fall I feel the fatigue big time. All the rest of the time I'm just plain old tired!

I can tell. I get very fatigued when they are dropping or low, and I can't drink at all. I feel much better, normal, when they are rising or high.

It is obvious in our boy. When his would go down he would get moody, fatigued, less hungry, his skin would get a green hue to it. Yep. we could tell when they were going up and down without ever looking for dots.
