Okay just read that gatorade can increase platelets?:huh: Has anyone tried this? I thought it was a bit crazy but there are some sites that say it is possible///

Just throwing this out to see if anyone else knew anything?

Never heard that one before. Where did you see this?

I know it can improve electrolytes, but don't see how it can help platelet counts.

I've never heard anything about this. And why would Gatorade do that?? Weird.

For other reasons, I've been drinking 2-4 bottles (20oz) of Gatorade G2 daily for a couple of years now. It has had zero effect on my ITP. In fact, after the first year of drinking Gatorade, my counts had dropped to 4k and Cyclosporine treatment had stopped working (It was then I switched to Promacta).
I'd love to see where this is written about Gatorade. :)
