Hello everyone!
It's been a while since I've posted..or even been to the site... and I thought I'd swing by and say hi!
This last semester was a doozy! I gave my senior classical recital (composition), and did it without totally killing myself! (Though I think a few platelets took a hit.. but not nearly as many as last time!)
I'm slowly starting to figure out my platelet lowering triggers. Stress and sleep being my biggest factors for sure. I think wheat may be another, but I'm not totally positive on that one yet. It's been 9 months since being diagnose, and 7 months being treatment free. Last I checked, my count was 23.

Hurray for being out of the teens! And life is good. I go sailing all the time, and the catch phrase is "Don't bruise yourself!!" Actually, that's become a catch phrase at school too. hehehe... ITP is a total drag, but a TON of great jokes can come out of it, I tell ya!
So far the only thing my low count has stopped me from doing is ice skating... yyeeaaahhhh... no need for explanation as to why.
I hope everyone is doing well and has an amazing Christmas and New Years!
May your platelets abound! And if not.. be REALLY sticky!
Cheers!
Kate
