  • I am a father a three children. My wife and I have already lost one child to ITP in 1995. Our youngest Kimberly now 35, has chronic ITP with a hyper coagulation condition as well.

Our oldest Daughter is due in January. She has never shown any signs of ITP, and her husband has no imuno nor blood disorders in his family history. On the other hand our Family history is quite clouded. My Wife's Mother had ITP, our Son had ITP and more ( he died from ITP related complications )and our youngest daughter now 27 has ITP.

All this being said, I believe a cord blood and possible tissue banking is in order.

Any thoughts from anyone and possible suggestions for a Company.
