:unsure: iv had itp for 2months now my platelets go high and low right now its at 20 but ive been feeling my heart beating real fast lately is it because my platelets are low has any one felt like this is it normal? Help!

I have had moments like that while on pred, I think it was cause my potassium was low. I am on span k tablets now to keep my potassium up

I agree, you should seek medical help as soon as u can, I went straight to the doctors when I had the same symptoms, it may not be nothing, but it should be checked out

I agree with Steve, this not the place to seek medical care, but we all have questions. This is the right place to ask them. I believe we all have "something" within that lets us know when things aren't right with our health, like if it's a life or death situation. If you have that feeling then you need to call for help, and then come here and discuss it. Hope all is well with you.

i think your beats fast because of steroids and stress in the same time,don't worry everything will be ok.there are lots of therapies.if you are under medical control, you'll see.

Are you on steroids? Is it a high dose? If you are, there is a good chance the heart problem is due to that. But, and this is a big but, you should still see someone, it might be something more. When I was on a high dose of pred, I had the same thing. It scared me so bad, I actually saw a cardiologist and has some tests run just to make sure there wasn't something else there. And if you aren't on steroids, GO GET CHECKED! Don't mess around. Let us know how you make out.

Have someone check your thyroid too during your blood tests .... mine was thudding pretty good for a while until a doctor did some bloodwork & my thyroid was off kilter.
