Revisiting old friends

Hi guys - it has been a really long time since I have been here. It is very different and I had to re-sign up. Goodness!!

Some of you will recognize who I am some of you are new. I was diagnosed with ITP in March of 2004, at least that is when I think it was. I road the rollercoaster for two years :silly: It was a very scarey ride, lucky me steroids were my savior. My counts were as low as 23 but now I am riding the platelet train at 229,000. I still get nervous when I see a bruise, I think uh oh, here we go again, but I have been lucky. Very lucky. In remission for 5 years and I remember a time I thought ugh I hate all those people who post here who have been here, done that and gone away.

So... my wish for all of you is the best of luck and Sandi a big HI. I am so bad at communicating these days, other medical problems have crept up, but not ITP related. High blood pressure and metabolic syndrome, sounds kind of weird doesn't it.

Hello Jenny! Glad to see you back. You could really be some help to those who are newly diagnosed - they need hope!

Hey Sandi - I should have more time in June. I would love to help some, it can be very unnerving. How are you doing??

I'm doing okay. I've had other health problems as well that I've been struggling with, but I'm still kicking!
