hi,
although i have had itp for round 20 years, with counts ranging from 7 to 18, 21, one time a 32, i have never treated.
may have to now, so i have to ask a really stupid question.

if you treat for a specific reason, like dental work, what's to say the very next day at the dentists office your counts don't crash?
i know it sounds like i know nothing about itp, ido, but that logic always escaped me.

i imagine you just go and what will be will be?

I don't know what you take, but I'd assume you'd still be taking your itp meds the day of the dental treatment. It's probably a better question for your doctor and let the dentist know too. I'm surprised you're not getting treated under 20, are you doing okay?

ImPatient not everyone treats all the time.

freckles are you just thinking or are you going to the dentist? If you are just thinking I'd say forget it, why be concerned about something that isn't going to happen. If you are going to the dentist then let your dentist know about your count if he/she doesn't already know you have ITP. My regular dentist knows about my ITP and has never questioned my count, he also has a friend who has ITP.
