Hello all ,
I was diagnosed with ITP in Nov 2019- initially was put on Prednisolone for 1 months 60 mg/day . Initially counts were at 40-45K range . The counts went up to 240000 and then dropped one month after I stopped the drug in Jan end 2020. Since then I have been on wait and Watch .. For the past 4 weeks I have been experiencing extreme gastric reflux and hard time swallowing and also feeling of pouch in throat or not sure like choking feeling..Anyone else had GERD type issues with ITP or a side effect of steroids ? The Doctor had given me pantaprazole along with the steroid medicine.

Do you suppose you had some h.Pylori bacteria get out of control while on steroids?

It's a common side effect with steroids. Might need treating with more pantaprazole or similar until it settles.
