Has anyone taken Tylenol Arthritis for pain and inflammation and if so did you see any adverse effects on your platelet count? I have been taking extra strength Tylenol daily to control my arthritis pain but due to the Corona virus it is unavailable in our area. Thinking of substituting Tylenol Arthritis since it is available.
Thanks in advance for any input.

I take it every morning and at bed time. Also take it in between if needed. I only take one at a time. Have had no issues with my counts. Been taking it for a long time.

Thank you. I just spoke to my Primary Care Physician and he said the same thing although he wants me to hold at n more than 2 per day.
Do you take it for arthritis pain?

I'm curious what the difference is between Tylenol Extra Strength and Tylenol Arthritis?
I looked at the ingredients [lost the pages & now must go fix dinner so can't take the time to find them again]
and it appeared they both have the same ingredients.

I had arthritis pain until I got new knees - now I just get it in my hands/fingers

Pain, yes, not necessarily arthritis. Sometimes it works well, sometimes not so much.
And Mel, yes they are both the same thing technically. We get the arthritis one mainly because there is more in the bottle. Not that it makes much difference to me tho!

My understanding is Tylenol Arthritis is 650 mg per tablet vs 500 mg for Extra Strength. Also the Arthritis version has two layers with the outer layer providing quick relief and the inner layer longer term relief. Because of the hire dosage level my PCP wants me to take no more than 2 per day but the studies I have read recommend you take no more than 2000 mg per day so 4 extra strength in 24 hours and 3 Arthritis.

That's right, Carducci! I forgot about that. I try not to take more than 2 a day. If I get really, really bad, I have Endocet that I will take. But if I plan on taking that, I don't take any Tylenol. I'll admit, I miss my THC oil for pain. It works much better than the Tylenol. We make our own pills as I can't take the store-bought ones.
