Agree with Sandi [surprised you didn't I Sandi ;) ] - your spleen didn't break. Wasn't it doing what it was meant to do, clean your blood?

Wow Hal, you're not kidding-- you've been busy! Interesting about the NAC possibly lowering Promacta effectiveness. What's next for you?

Tomorrow is actually my last NPlate injection, and I'm SOOOO excited! It seems like it cut out at 2mcg/kg, and I'm doing really well symptom-wise-- once I leveled out, no bruising and minor petechiae. Not to mention my energy level is way up and I'm no longer having any nausea! I've cut back my work week to 32 hours instead of 40, and that's also helped a ton. Going to take it slowly and see how it goes, but I'm hoping to stay off pharmaceuticals.

Ah, ok. I had forgotten nausea was big a problem.
Going all the way to zero, heh? That scares many - I guess it depends on symptoms. Be careful. Going from some to none may be like a switch for ITP symptoms.
