Hi everybody,

unfortunately being diagnosed with ITP in 2007 life has been OK so far since living in Germany brings along a quite well health Insurance system that covers everything incl. Rituxan and the TPO-mimetics.

Unfortunately Germany is currently overrun by so called "refugees" which are nothing else than Deserteurs and/or wealth-migrants, not only infiltrating our health system but our whole life deteriorating our democracy and governmental infrastructure. E.g. no more school sports anymore, because all halls are blocked by them. No more normal lessons because the teachers have to concentrate on the foreign children, supermarkets closing down due to shoplifting and not enough police to help, massive increase in rapes (preferably gang-rapes) because the "refugees" already know the german law-system
which is based on witness-balance. If 1 woman says i have been raped but 10 men say we played cards and she agreed you can't even start prosecution without having hard evidence (e.g. a Video). Same applies to mass-beatings against men. And you can't even talk about it otherwise youll be a racist. Its the Rotherham effect. I could go on for hours...but to come to the point...escape is the only way.

Since me and my children also have Canadian citizenship we seriously think about settling to Canada...but as i have ITP the question is: what is covered in health Insurance, what has to be covered from private. Do you get private Insurance with ITP at all etc. etc...

Thank you for your help.

Wow. I had no idea that was happening in Germany. The same thing is starting to happen here in the US.

I don't know anything about Canada, but there are others here who do.

Hi Delta. Are you originally from Canada? If so, what Province? I am in New Brunswick and have no trouble getting treated. Back in /04 when I was first diagnosed, I was getting IVIG every week and it didn't cost me a thing. Medicare covered it. I finally had Rituxan back in 2011 and even that was covered. I think my hema dr. probably had to apply for a trial for the ITP because he also uses it for his Cancer patients.

We have other Canadians on here, so maybe some of them will chime in.

We have a couple of members from Ontario and at least one from Alberta, I do believe. Hopefully they will check in and give you some more information.

Here in Alberta everything seems to be covered, of the methods tried, except for Nplate. It is the same as Cindy discussed. It is important to get a good hematologist tho'. Good luck.
