Hello all,

As of today my count is 390, (it was 416 last Friday so it's behaving), and I'm booked in for a tattoo this Wednesday. I asked my doctor and she said no because of my increased risk of infection after being on the rituximab. I had my last dose last Friday.

I was just wondering what you guys thought? I really really want one but obviously don't want one at the risk of becoming seriously ill.

I think I'd listen to the doctor on this one. An infection is unlikely, but better to be safe than sorry. You can go for it in a few months.

Thank you guys.

I wasn't sure whether she was being overly cautious or not. But I suppose it's best to be cautious anyway. Last thing I want is a infections! Think I'm going to listen to the doctor on this one. I'll reschedule it for a couple of months time.

Rituximab affects the immune system for about a year. I'd reschedule for next year if I were you.
