Round 3 over, platelets at 210k seems I am stable for the past week (well slight increase from 206 to 210k)

One more week to go.

On the plus side the spots I gained during the steroid treatment have started to disappear! :-)

I've been following your posts since our stories started around the same time and we have been on a similar course of treatment (IVIG, prednisone, then rituxan). I just had my last infusion last Friday and am almost off prednisone (down to 5mg). My platelets have been hanging around 100,000 (86k, 97k, and 114k were my last three counts). Good luck with your remaining infusions! It will be interesting to see how we are doing in a few months - hopefully both with stable counts!

Glad to hear your count is stable, fingers crossed for the future.

Mine seems rather high at 200k (whilst in remision I was hovering around 80k) but I'm not going to moan ;-)

take care

Well 4th session of rituximab complete, platelets at 185k so they have dropped about 30k in the last week hope that's not a bad sign.

Next review is with the consultant on the 12th feb so wont know more till then. Fingers crossed they stabilize around the 80k +

Hope everyone else's treatment is going okay ;-)

My counts fluctuated quite a bit during and right after Rituxan , but I eventually ended up with lasting remissions both times I had rituxan.

Glad you are doing well!

Hi all,

Just to round off my experience to date, its now been nearly a month since I had the last of my Rituximab sessions.

I saw my consultant today and my level was 178k, so almost double my normal ;-)

He is happy that I have responded to the rituximab and now its just a matter of monitoring (count done once a month)

fingers crossed and thanks again for everyone's advice.

Richard
