Counts up again with weaning prednisone?

So heard back that my platelets were 101 last week and 116 this week. This is up from the 50-60 range for the last 6-8weeks while i have weaned the prednisone from 70mg down to 30mg. I am supposed to stay at 30mg now until i next see hematologist on july 19th. I had posted earlier wondering if anyone else had had their counts group with weaning as my counts had seemed to shift from the 50s to high 60s with weaning but now with even less they are almost normal and i am confused... Could weaning help the counts in any way? Nothing else is any different... except for stress I guess, I am on holidays now and have a bit less stress but surely stress can't effect it that much? And I do still have a fair amount if stress...

My initial issues arose about 10 weeks ago now, do you thnk this could be a sign I had acute ITP and not chronic? Even as an adult? Perhaps I am reading too much into the counts, I am trying not to but I seem to be "feeling" a lot better the last week or 2 as well, was figuring it was just from the decreased prednisone but hard to tell... Any thoughts of acute Vrs chronic or on if the decreased prednisone could be doing this?

Thanks!

Oh my goodness. I couldn't even begin to offer you an explanation because there isn't one. If anyone does give you one it would be pure conjecture. I've always said that ITP does what it wants. There is no rhyme or reason no matter how hard you look. Sorry, but that's the truth.

I don't know why your counts are hanging in there. I don't know if that is a sign that you will have acute ITP. The only answer I have is that time will tell. I know the waiting is hard, but for today, you can be happy.

Thanks! I am pleased counts are up and celebrating for now, just was worried there was something I was missing in my research etc or something that didn't make sense... I guess none of this ITP, or health as a whole makes "sense"... And your right Sandi, time will tell! Just never been the best on patience... Thanks!
