Anyone had a Angiogram having ITP was created by mothergoo
My cardiologist wants to do a Angiogram and Im really nervous about it... My hemo doctor is saying its ok as long as I get my platelets up to 100,000.. Im at 50,000 now and he increased my predinisone to 100mg and he thinks by Monday Ill be ok to have it on Tuesday.. This procedure is very scarey to me knowing there going in the main artery and I could have bleeding or blood clots... any info would be apreiciated on this subject.. Thanks

If it were me, I would discuss the risk of the angiogram vs. the risk of not knowing your coronary condition.

I've never had an angiogram, but my mother did, at age 70, and in poor health, and she did fine.

Hopefully, someone here who has had one can give you the scoop!
