Danazol after Prednisone

Danazol after Prednisone was created by angel
I was diagnosed with ITP in August 2011 and have been on Prednisone with platelet count of 180 to 260 tapering down every 2 weeks. Last week my count started dropping while I was on 10 mg a day and yesterday it was 94. Will be checking the count again in 3 days and Hematologist mentioned about putting me on Danazol if count is not stabalise. Would appreciate to hear anyone's experience on Danazol as the side effects sounds scary, after having gone through those of Pred. Thanks

I tried Danazol. I wasn't on it for very long because I broke out in hives. It's not nearly as bad as Prednisone as far as side effects, but it also doesn't work very often and if it does, can take a few weeks or months.
