funny tongue feeling and joint pain was created by Michellek
Hi all:

The last day or two I’ve been feeling a lot of joint pain, in my legs, arms, hip and back. Is this normal on my 70 mg of predisone?

Also I notice after my 2 days of IVGG treatments this week. I notice this after the first one, when I eat or drink anything my tongue gets a funny feeling. It doesn’t swell, but it feels like my taste buds get raise up and rough, almost sandpaper like? Has anyone else experience this? Also my throat has been getting very sore. Of course when I have to yell at work to be heard, over the noise in our waiting room, that doesn’t help matters.

I got for my blood work tomorrow(Monday morning).

Thank you all again for your support and encouragement.

Have you tapered the Prednisone at all? Joint pain can occur when the dose is lowered.

As for your tongue, you might have thrush. That is also common while on Prednisone. Does your tongue have a white coating? I have it all the time due to chronic steroid use. Your doctor can give you a medication to help clear it up.
