I.T.P. was created by Inascanlon
This past year I started brusing and was diagonised with I.T.P. after having a shingles vaccine. I was put on 65 mg. of Prednisone for 4.5 months. Took 4 treatments of Retuxin last summer. I have taken 14 treatments of IVIG for the past year. Nothing has helped hold the platelets. Everytime I have the IVIG, the platelets goes over 100,000 and within 4 or 5 weeks bottoms out to usually 10,000 or less. Than I'm back in the hospital for IVIG. In April, 2011, I went to Mayo Clinic in hopes of a treatment to help my platelets hold. No treatment was available other than what I was offered by my hemotologist. Due to the shingles vaccine "virus" in me, perhaps the platelets could hold if and when the virus leaves my body.
Anyone have any suggestions to rid self of the virus?

It may not quite work that way. Sometimes when something triggers ITP, the body starts to produce antibodies against platelets and it doesn't stop when a virus or medication leaves the body. However, antibodies come and go so remissions are always possible.

I'm surprised you weren't told about some of the other treatments such as N-Plate, Promacta, CellCept, Imuran, Decadron, or Win-Rho. IVIG is nearly always temporary. Rituxan can produce remissions of a year or so if a person is responsive. Prednisone works for some, but not others, and can also cause remission in someone who is responsive. It can take some time to achieve remission and some people never do, but they can maintain safe counts (counts over 30).

My suggestion would be to read about the treatments and make suggestions to your doctor. Many of us have done that and have had success.

Here is the treatments page:

Some in conventional medicine may not recognize that vaccines can cause any such problems, nor do they offer any solutions (after all, if it doesn't exist, why would you treat it?)
But, many health professionals in alternative care, as well as the victims of such vaccine damage, will tell you otherwise.
And, some actually DO have ways of reversing that damage. Homeopaths have a few different ways to reverse the side effects of a drug or vaccine. One is by giving the homeopathic version of the specific vaccine or drug (The homeopathic version will contain a very, very, very minute amount of the original substance. It is based on the theory of curing Likes with Likes.)

Another way is by giving one of about 50 different homeopathic remedies that, through years of clinical experience, have been shown to remove those effects (The term, "vaccinosis" was originally coined and recognized in the 1800s, by homeopaths. In 1884, homeopath J.C. Burnett wrote his well known book, "Vaccinosis and its Cure by Thuja". Depending on what symptoms a victim would be having, would make a difference as to the best remedy selection.

Another way would be to find a "constitutional" remedy for the patient, the idea being to strengthen the immune system enough, so that it can overcome the disease on it's own. This method is highly individualized and takes much experience and skill.

A fourth way would be to prescribe a more general "miasmatic" remedy that addresses the underlying genetic susceptibility of the patient.

Sometimes, all of these, or a combination of, may be given in a sequential manner until the effects are removed.

Probably the best known examples of using homeopathy to reverse vaccine damage, is with autism cases. Tinus Smits, a homeopath from Holland (he died last year), has 300+ documented cases of autism that have been reversed. (He videotaped many of these cases.) Prior to his death, he trained others in his method, called CEASE therapy for autism. This is done primarily through giving sequential potencies of homeopathic vaccine remedies, as well as various antibiotics or other medications that the child or parents may have had exposure to. (This is called tautopathy).

If you google IMPOSSIBLE CURE and Amy Lansky, you can read hundreds of personal stories of children who have had their autism completely reversed through the use of homeopathy. Ms. Lansky wrote one of the best overall books about homeopathy, when she saw how her young son was completely cured of autism, through homeopathy. (This was through constitutional and/or miasmatic treatment.)
If it is something that interests you, I would highly recommend reading her book, as she gives excellent information on the history of homeopathy, it's principles and possible modes of action, research and numerous case histories.
