Hello, my name is Kasha. I was diagnosed with ITP back in 2005. I have never had normal platelet counts and have gone up and down for years now... this past year has been the worst for me not being able to keep them up. The lowest platelet count I have had is 4,000 which was last year. I am not quite as low right now, a little under 50,000 and just can't get any answers from my doc because apparently they are low again. I have been on low dosages of prednisone for years now. I was successful given rituxan back in 2006 and was successful on it for a couple of years and then had another bout with them in 2009 where I was given rituxan again... This time not as lucky because after my 3rd treatment I started having a bad reaction, heart started palpitating irregular so they stopped treatment and I was rushed to the emergency room. So right now prednisone is my only saving grace. anyways, just wanted to introduce myself, say hi and happy that I can talk to others that can relate to what I go through.

Rituxan 2005 and 2008 (can't take anymore, body rejected it)
