I am going to the doctor for my first high risk appointment on Monday I will be 17 and a half weeks. I was just wondering what they usually all do at the first high risk appointments. Just curious to what is going to happen and what to expect. First pregnancy had ITP for 4 years.

They will probably just monitor your counts and other than that, treat you like any other pregnant patient. If counts are below what they feel is a good range, you will most likely have to decide on treatment which would be Prednisone or IVIG. Usually they don't worry about that until the end of the pregnancy when delivery is near, unless counts are really low.

For me I got extra ultrasounds to monitor the baby and more frequent appointments. My hema did everything blood related and worked with my OB. It's important that they work together.
