My daughter is 14 and has been dealing with ITP for 4 years. We have gone through several medical alert bracelets, but she likes the ones on hopepaige.com the best. They have a variety of styles/colors, and you know how important that is at this age! We put her name, ITP-Bleed Risk, and my cell number on it. Hope this helps.

If she likes the "sporty" look, Road ID makes one my son loves to wear, as do some of my female running/biking/triathalon friends :)

I ordered one for my daughter a few years ago from www.laurenshope.com . It looks more like a regular bracelet than "medical" jewerly so she was willing to wear it. It is now too small so I need to order another one. I ordered two for her...one for her to wear at school and then another one that was more sporty looking that she wears at her competitions and it matches her uniform.

I wear the emblem from Medicalert which has the 800 number. It's one of the links from the "Living with ITP" link on the main pages. www.pdsa.org/about-itp/living-with-itp.html

I had a jewler solder jump rings so I could switch out with the beaded or leather bracelets with the double alegator clips. That way I can have an everyday plus dress up, silver vs gold, etc. I like www.n-styleid.com/ for those.

Hi! I ordered mine from www.stickyj.com - I think they have some stylish, young choices. I'm a 24 year old young woman and I was determined to find a bracelet that kind of went with my look and didn't stand out too much.

There are some choices on that website where you can order the plate & have that engraved with the needed info. Then you order the bracelet separately. This way, you can change out the bracelets to go with different outfits or whatnot. I'm into beading and jewelry making, so I was able to make some of my own bracelets and take my mind off of my recent ITP diagnosis.

Hope this helps!

Amy
