Hi my 15 year old daughter has had ITP for 9 months. My daughter wants to return to a " normal" life of sports and wants to be treated. We have tried Ivig when her counts were at lowest of 8 k. It worked for about 3 weeks and she has maintained between 20-50k on her own. Her hematologist suggested we try promacta or N-plate to allow maggie to return to sports. My husband and I are concerned with the lack of long term effects due to both so New for children. I was wondering what others had experienced with N Plate.? Also any thoughts regarding rituxan ?
Thanks you

In regards to NPlate/Promacta, my personal opinion is that major new improvements in ITP treatments is not that many years away.
