Appt today

Nothing major to report. At first the nurse, resident, and doctor were all asking about nosebleeds. (She had crazy nosebleeds before ITP and during until we cautherized her nose.) Last appt her platelets were 101k. This appt 87k. Dr stated unless she is bleeding, developed petechai, or has severe bruising not to worry about getting blood work. Next appt is in October.

I was very understanding and nonchalant. He stated that he could tell that I have learned a lot about ITP since she was diagnosed. I told him about this website and support group. PDSA has taught me a lot and it helps to read what others have gone through. He stated he had a new ITP patient and the parents were having a hard time with understanding the disorder. I recommended this site and told him to tell them to come here for support.
