Fantastic News!

Hi All,
What a wonderful start to a Friday. I just thought I would inject some more happiness into todays forum.
Steph has been tapering off prednisolone for a while now, and is in the final stretch of getting off that dreaded steriod. So much so that she even wants to have a 'Pred Party!'

I know that as a mum, I don't actually ingest the meds, but when I see what it does to her, it hits me like a knife through the heart. Now her face is getting back to 'normal' (I don't usually like that word but I'm sure you understand), the mood swings aren't as frequent, she can sleep through the night, she is happy when she sees how little pred she is taking, and best of all, her COUNTS ARE UP! You heard me people. Stephanie's counts are 100! with only a tiny bit of pred!!!

I would like to thank everyone one this forum. Our life in the last 8 months has been a roller coaster (I wonder if you used the search engine here how many hits that word would have?!) and it has only been made easier by the guidance, strength, positivity and information given out by you all.
Now we are not burying our heads in the sand to think this is the last of it. But we can enjoy the little ups that come our way occasionally. Even if the count halves, we will still be smiling!

So as I sign off smiling, I wish everyone a fantastic weekend! Now its time to go off and put together my new BBQ!
