We are falling apart. Matix had Winrho today. This was the second time ever. When we left the clinic they were a little concerned because his urine was a little too dark but just asked us to come back if it gets worse. When we left his temp was 98. Not 30 mins later he was shaking and saying he was cold, took his temp, 101. I called the doctor on call and he was not concerned about the temp. I even asked at what point would be a concern and he said the fever is not a concern. Well, by the time I hung up his temp was 104! I have given him Tylenol but it is still 103. This did not happen the last time :(

My son had WinRho approx 30 times over the course of 4 or 5 years. He had this type of reaction 3 or 4 times. He had chills in the car on the way home and then the high fever. They had us give him Benadryl and Tylenol about an hour before he got WinRho to try to prevent this. I hope Matix is feeling better by now.

Well, the fever went down after Tylenol and several hours. Went back to the doctor yesterday and he does have some blood in his urine, little jaundice, so we are closely monitoring for Hemolytic Anemia. He does get the pre-treatment of Benadryl, Tylenol, and Steroid because he is allergic to IVIG and has had a reaction to Winrho before. Not sure if I am going to do the Winrho again...
