Like Ali, I'm just checking in to report that Mia, too, has had a blissfully uneventful experience so far with Rituxan. In fact, she slept through most of its administration (thank you, Benadryl.) And I, nervous mom, asked the nurse when they were going to finally administer rituxan, only to discover it had been happening for over an hour! Ignorance is sometimes bliss.

A few days out and she feels very fine. Really no reactions at all that we can see so far. Fingers crossed for next three treatments and then the hope that it kicks in and raises her platelets out of the basement.

Very grateful that Mia is going through this at nearly the exact same time as Dougie (and me with Ali!). Just one week apart. It's meant ever so much to Mia.

Many thanks to all of you for your support. Fingers crossed.

Firkins (mom of Zoe (15) and Mia (13). Mia has ITP. Diagnosed 3/2012.

Hey there

So happy Mia had such a great experience! You have had a 2nd infusion now? Did that go as well? Have you had a count done, I know it can take time to kick in just curious..

2013 just might be the year of positive change :)
