Looking to see if anyone else has had this problem. This is our second time dealing with low platletlets have been good since 2009 after a long year of low numbers. This time her numbers plummeted out of now where. Treated us with WINRO and then that worked well EXCEPT it dropped her red blood cells down 7 and we are still fighting to get them back up. ANd now that those are on their way back up platlets are on their way back down:( BOOOOOOOO Anyone else have this problem with the WINRO.

We have had WINRO in the past and never had this problem so just wondering if this was a common thing or not?????

WinRho works by coating the red blood cells with antibody to get the spleen to kill them off and leave the platelets alone. Usually the drop in red cells doesn't last long but sometimes, as you are experiencing, it is too effective and causes problems.
