My name is Chrystine and I have a daughter who is 14 with ITP. She was diagnosed a year ago next month with her counts never staying. I was wondering if there's anyone in PA with a child also with ITP. We live in Hopwood PA which is 40 minutes from WV, 40 minutes from Pittsburgh, at the bottom of Jumonsville. I'm hoping to find another family that is close to us who we might be able to contact.

Sorry -- we're in Maryland. Hope you find someone close to you! We've recently found 2 other ITP cases in our county, so I'm sure there is someone out there close to you!

I have a child with ITP that has had it for almost 5 and a half years ago. We live in WV. I am looking for anyone that knows of some really good hematologists that specialize in ITP and other disorders in the surrounding area. I am looking for any within PA also and thought maybe you could help me.

Hello, my name is Jennifer and my 4 year old daughter has had reoccurring ITP for two years now. We live just north of Pittsburgh in Zelienople, PA. I hope you have found a wonderful hematologist and others with whom you can collaborate in your same situation. I have not been able to find anyone with children as young as mine with ITP (My 4 year olds twin also had ITP but at 4 months and has not had a problem since about 10 months). My daughter's count DOES rebound so we are blessed to be classified as reoccurring as opposed to chronic. Again, my best wishes for peace and strength.
