I counted my daughters bruises the other day and there were over 150. She has spent a lot of time at the moment in the sea with just knickers on (haven't been organised enough to take swimming costumes camping) and when getting changed and washed in the shower block I know that people can see all her bruises, or even just wear shorts. I don't know whether people are actually looking or whether I just imagine it but I find myself worrying about what they are thinking.Do you ever say anything or tell people or do you just ignore them?

It depends on the situation, if it would draw more attention to her I wouldn't say anything. My daughter tries to be as typical as possible. I did start carrying an ITP fact sheet (I think I got it off this site) when she looked particularly bruised up, just in case child protective services were ever called or in case I needed to prove we weren't hurting our child.

Don't worry about what people may be thinking! If a person wants to know, they can ask. Drawing more attention out in public around your Daughter, may not be the best for her. One time we were at a state fair and had to stop at the medical tent due to one of my Daughters having a burn on her face from turning her head as her hair was being curled. They asked questions. Which was fine.
