I have a hard time keeping track of everyone. How long has she had ITP?

My 4 yr old is going on week 18 now. I can honestly say that I'm not as much of a nervous wreck as I was when this first started. He does get treated when he goes under 20 with IVIG and it bumps him up for about 4 weeks. We do this because he is SO active and also so he can still attend school (his hematologist doesn't want him going when its under 30. I hope this policy changes when he starts grade school, right now he is just in preschool and has missed a LOT)

Today I got the news that they've dropped again (we also do Monday cbc's) to 25,000. And I didn't freak out. I was like "okay, see ya next week". It is my new normal to be like "ok his platelets are at such and such so he can't do ...." I'm no longer in a state of fear. Of course I still think "ah! bummer" because of course we want the news that they are no longer dropping ... but it has gotten easier to hear "they've dropped again".

Brianna has had itp since oct 2011, but frist they would go down and she would come back on her own. then the week before easter she dropprd to 3000 which at that time was the frist time she had been that low before that the lowest she went was 22000. we did ivig in april after she went to 2000 after we did the wait and see for a week and half. she went up to 147000 in the matter of days so she got to about four weeks and down they went to 24000 where she had been for the last two weeks. she can go to school as long as she doesn't play in gym class. she cann't go back to gym till she is at 30000.
