Hi

My son has been diagnosed with ITP for 1.5 years. We have treated him with IVIG and prednisones. He responds well to both medication. He did not respond to anti-D. I am looking for alternate way to approach ITP. I have modified his food and enviroment. I would like to try homeopathy. Has any one tried homeopathy on children and been successful?

Thanks

What happens when you don't treat him?

April, a member here, is a homeopath who has experience with ITP, including her own daughter. You should "talk" to her.

We had a meeting in Brooklyn, NY, with a homeopath last Friday for my son's ITP and anxiety/depression and another son's migraines. We'll get recommendations early next week, and I'll let you know how it goes. I'm very eager to see if it works for both of them; my ITP kid has only had IVIG but not for a couple of years because he's now needle-phobic. Since he's not a bleeder, we haven't tried anything else since as you know it's all pretty toxic.

He's 11 and in June will have had ITP for nine years.

Good luck.

What are your thoughts on homeopathy at this point? We have a 3 year old with ITP (7 months now) IVIG and prednisone aren't working and I'd like to try a little more natural path.....
