Believe it! What else can be said. He will stay on the same dose of Nplate this week. No side effects and tolerating the weekly injections quite well.

Wow, thats brilliant - 3 digits!!!!! It sounds like an oxymoron - Tim, 108K!!

Hope that he is going to spend the weekend doing things thatare usually forbidden such as visiting theme parks, judo, karate, etc. That and doing his homework of course!

OMG - this is great news. I never thought that I would see a post where Tim had a count of over 50, never mind having one that is over 100. How wonderful for you.

I am so glad to hear that things are working well with the NPlate, and no side effects. Hooray.

Thanks everyone. I guess I think that things always have to look up eventually, so I knew it would happen, it was just a question of how long. I'm hoping maybe this will give his body time and a chance to recover a bit and find a remission. IDK, since he's not responded to other meds, I wonder how much of his ITP is a function of his bone marrow not producing enough platelets. I'm hoping he can maybe come out of the destruction/production conundrum.

Donna - you mentioned bone marrow - I assumed that Tim has had a bone marrow test in the past ??? If not, it is worth getting it. If there is a problem in the bone marrow, then other things need to be looked at. (I am sure that you know all this, so I won't continue).

I hope things continue to imrove!!!!
