Dougie's school has a non-uniform day tomorrow. His mates have been discussing what they were going to wear and, as the weather is lovely at the moment, most of them appear to be wearing shorts. Dougie however has decided that be wearing chinos because his legs are "too messed up" a) by bruises, and b) by some scarring and discolouration left by the cellulitis at christmas. I am really surprised, because I didn't think he was conscious of this type of stuff at all - in fact, I rather thought that scars and bruises were almost a badge of honour for boys. Clearly not!

I am left wondering whether he will be wearing a long sleeved top too because his arms aren't great either.....

Yours in perplexion,

Ali
