papaya leaf extract was created by mparshall
I have read that papaya leaf extract can boost platelet counts. Does anyone know how this would work for a child? Most of the reviews are written by adults that have taken it. My son is 5 and I am considering trying it with him.

Have a look in the natural treatments forum, it's being discussed there.

I have and majority of those posts are regarding adults. I am wondering if it would be alright for a 5 year old to take. Guess I had better talk to his Dr.

I agree, it would be a great idea to ask your doctor before medicating your child with herbs of unknown purity, strength and effect. Maybe also your lawyer.

Hi, I have just received my papaya leaf extract - ordered it after reading all the good things everyone had to say on here about it... Just wondering how long it took to see results? My platlets are currently 1 and my doc wants me to have a splenectomy but i'm not keen so hoping this will boost them even a little!! Thanks :)
