94K-Update to C's ITP was created by jrosenfe
A month ago we did Winrho and we went back today to find out we are at 94K. Last week she had 3 nose bleeds and bruises, she also had the flu. We held off from taking her in since she was so sick and I didn't want her to be around the children that had weak immune systems. I was convinced her numbers were in the tank and they probably were. Somehow her body has rebounded and 94K is amazing.

We are now trying the month to month visits, vs the weekly or as needed. We are trying to incorporate some schedule to this since it does effect school, work and just overall life.

We are optomistically hopeful but cautious to be overly excited since this is a rollercoaster.

My son's one 100+ count came immediately after a bout of flu - his doctor said he has seen it a few times, almost like it temporarily resets the immune system by giving it something else to concentrate on? The effect lasted quite a while too, although his count bounced up and down an awful lot.

Unfortunately (in respect of platelets anyway!) he hasn't had flu this year........ Hope it lasts for Charlotte anyway.
