Some of the many bruises Dougie has this week. I am not liking it!!!! Never mind, maybe they will have stopped appearing by the time that the childrens clinic is open again on Monday?

Hi Ali,

Wow.....i don't blame you for not liking those at all!! Did they occur due to injuries or did they just appear? Keep thinking positive Ali.....your positive thinking has always helped me through my ups and downs with Devyn's counts :)

Hi Deanna,

Ha! Like all good patients, when threatened with a visit to the children's centre for a blood test, Dougie finally stopped getting new bruises yesterday. Two weeks of completely random massive bruises for no specific reason anyone could remember. He had them in such weird places too. I kept on putting off taking him in for a count because I thought they would go away quicker than they did. For future reference, the "head in the sand" approach seems to work as well as positivity!

Anyway, I reckon I now know how to raise counts in the future - its clear that all you have to do is to mention the words "doctor" and "blood test"!!!! Maybe I should patent it?

:) Ali
