I've decided to ask Santa for a 32G iPad. However, I can't decide if I want just with Wi-Fi, or if I want the Wi-Fi + 3G model. If anyone has an iPad can you give me some feedback? Thanx!

I had the same decision to make when I replaced my Kindle. The answer depends on what apps your planning to use and your lifestyle.

Do you have a wireless network set up in your home that you have secured? Is there a Starbucks or other convient WiFi spot nearby that you frequent to do downloads? Is the information your downloading confidencial or contain information that could lead to idenity theft? Who is the 3G carrier? Do they have good coverage in the areas that you spend time in? (My folks are in rural Utah where Sprint service for Amazon's whisper net is iffy, so I have to make sure to download before I travel there)

If and when i get one, i'll be getting Wi-Fi + 3G as when u go away places, even if there is no wi-fi available where u are going, then you can still access the net

The debate is whether or not I REALLY need the 3G. I can download the books/music/videos at home, before I go anywhere. 3G is only good where you get reasonable cell service, and that can be sketchy in some rural places in Newfoundland. I don't intend on connecting to a 3G network right away. I'm just thinking it would be neat to have that option, if I wanted to. But, is it worth the extra $150? Oh, I hate making decisions!

I think if u want it, get it, even if u don't need otherwise u might regret it later. If u didn't want it so badly, your decision wouldn't be so hard now would it as if u were just basing it on if u need it. The fact your if two minds and are asking advise is because u do really want the 3G as well, so just get it, it's not that much deerer then the one with just WI-FI

Thanx Angel. I do want 3G, because I'm afraid I'm going to regret later if I don't. Besides, I don't have a cell phone...

Your welcome, I had a similar dilemma with the iPod touch, if i should get the 32 or 64gb one and I knew deep down I really wanted the 64, so that's what I ended up getting and lucky I did cause when I got home and put all my stuff on the new iPod, if i got the 32 I wouldn't have had enough room for it all whereas I still have room to spare with the 64

Is there a large price difference. If not, I'd get the 3G. Better to much than regreting it later.
