Does anyone else have other health problems that are related to autoimmune disease? I have food allergies, environmental allergies, celiac disease, and anemia - and have also been dealing with severe upper abdominal pain, lightheadedness, hot flashes, and weight loss. I am currently seeing a holistic doctor, who has put me on some supplements plus vitamin-B-12 shots. My platelets have been sitting around 32k (after months of not checking them), and my WBC's and RBC's are also very low. I'm wondering how often I should have a CBC, and what other blood tests are recommended. I have had ITP for 30 years but seem to have more and more problems as the years go by.

My 17 year old son also has a few autoimmune issues. He has had asthma since he was about 18 months old, diagnosed with ITP when he was just over 2 years old, and then diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis when he was 13 years old. Hopefully 3 is the magic number and he won't be dealt anything else! :)

Many of us have multiple autoimmune issues. It's not unusual for them to cluster...you get one, you are more apt to get others.

I have allergies, have had eczema, and have ITP and Lupus.

Asthma is an autoimmune disease? Really? hummppp.
I have allergies (hayfever and pollen and stuff) and have been told that I'm developing Asthma! That's it as far as I know.

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
