CindyL wrote: Mum got her first Pfizer shot this morning! When we talked to her after supper, she said she felt fine. We told her to tell the nurses at once if she felt funny in any way shape or form.
The staff got their shots this afternoon.

I'm sure she'll be so thrilled. Let us know how it goes. Fingers crossed that the visit scheduling works out!CindyL wrote: We can't wait! We're not telling her in case something happens and we can't make it. It will be a big surprise for her when she sees us.
Not sure yet when my brother and sister will get to see her in person.

Thanks for the update Cindy! I'm smiling imagining how happy she must have been to see you all. So glad that you were able to make it happen in spite of the cold. After a difficult time, it's wonderful to hear stories of people rebounding and feeling some joy again.CindyL wrote: It was so cooooollllldddd but so worth it! Even my niece and her boyfriend came. Mum was happy.
I let my sister and her daughter stand close to the window so they could talk. It's funny, but it always seems to be my phone that we use to call her.
Going through my Facebook page last night, lo and behold there was a picture of my mom smiling and enjoying her lunch from one of our popular take-outs! We haven't seen her look this good since all this stuff started!

Yaaay! Lovely to hear it. I'm sure she had a wonderful time seeing you all.CindyL wrote: We had a great visit with mum! She was so surprised to see us, she wanted us to pinch her!
We were with her for just over an hour, but she was getting tired and paying more attention to the roomie's tv.
