Starting my life over again

I guess this is a social topic. So I'm recently divorced, waiting on a settlement check next spring and trying to figure out what's next. I'm lost- my local docs aren't very good so I'd like to move to someplace near in actual ITP specialist- plain old hematologist haven't served me that well.
Anyway, how do I figure out... any of it. My income is fixed & small& so I need to live in the suburbs of wherever my specialist is, since they're mostly in major metropolitan areas. I like the beach. I don't really have any family that's expressing interest in "Oh, come live here", no kids, so ... this feels like my last chance to reinvent myself and start over hopefully someplace where I'd actually like to live and grow old and die. I have no idea where to start in figuring out where that is. Isn't there some sort of Myers-Briggs test for Geezerhood? I can probably do some exploratory travel, but I have 10 months & then I have to move. Anybody got any words of wisdom?
