Fall is in the air for a few days then we get back to summer temps. I'm really not ready to give up summer!

I like the fall for the colorful leaves. Other than that, I'm not looking forward to what comes after!

A lot of times we don't get much color here - depends on when the 1st frost is.
Yesterday we had a high of 78, today should be close to 90 - so you never know around here!

Oh no, I'm not looking forward to what comes either - don't even want to think about it.

Our Fall colors here in NB can be pretty spectacular. When Steven and I got engaged, I chose Sept. 14 for our wedding date hoping we'd have some pretty foliage. Instead, we got married in the tail end of a hurricane!

Nope. Had lots of rain and wind, though! But "they" say, if it rains on your wedding day, it's good luck. We have 23 years coming up this month. My parents would have been married 57 years the year my dad passed away.

Our son was married the end of October and believe it or not the weather here was perfect - I was afraid of snow. They did get some beautiful outside photos!

Congrats on your upcoming 23rd anniversary - that is wonderful! And to think, your parents were married 56 years - how fantastic is that?! We just hit our 50th.

Congrats on the 50! We threw my parents a surprise party for theirs. If my dad had known what we were up to, he wouldn't have showed up! I was on a high dose of steroids at the time, so I really hate the pictures we have with me in them.
On one of our News channels, there's a segment called "Milestones" and it's really interesting when some of the anniversary announcements are for 65, 71 and higher.
October would have been pretty!

Thank ou Cindy! My kids would have been written out of the will had they thrown any kind of party for us :) We did go to the same hotel we spent our wedding night - amazing it is still open and thriving!

Usually you just never know about weather - pity the brides who plan an outside wedding in June or July and it snows! The day after our son's October sunny warm wedding weather it snowed to beat the devil.

If I remember correctly, it was nice the day after our wedding, too. Hoping next Saturday is nice, so we can go have a bbq with the family
The party was a lot of work, but well worth it! We had relatives come from Ontario who we hadn't seen in years. So I think dad enjoyed himself. But I was glad when mum's 80th came around, she helped plan it!

That will be fun, a family bbq - hope the weather is real good!

When I was about 5 my mom's side of the family started having a picnic in the summer - mom was the oldest of 6. That picnic continues all the many years later - unfortunately the aunts & uncles are gone now but each family lives on and so does the picnic. They used to be in the summer but now it is September when hopefully the humidity isn't too bad.

We did a family bbq for a couple of years, but then it got to be too hard to get everyone together at the same time so that went by the way side. Now it seems like we just get together for special occasions.
We'll see what happens for next weekend.
