Belated happy Canada Day! I celebrated with butter tarts. (I'm a Canuck transplant to the US and was shocked a few years ago to find out that butter tarts are a Canadian thing and not available here. )

Really, they're not available in the US? Wow! Do you make them with raisins or without?

Better late then never?
No raisins over here. :) You?
The other more obvious thing are Nanaimo bars. Americans have *no* idea what they are.

Yea! Nope, don't eat anything with raisins in them. Which is funny, 'cause I like the SunMaid raisins right out of the box. I like Nanaimo bars, but not coconut.

Same!! I'll eat plain raisins and--if pressed--oatmeal raisin cookies, but not raisins in anything else.
