I find it creepy. I also disagree with the whole idea because I am a Christian. I have a purpose on this earth, and when that's done, I'll go on to my next life.

Meh. I've been reading about this for over 20 years now. Transferring consciousness isn't going to be anywhere nearly as easy as some folks claim. It may not even be possible. So I think I'll hold off on being disturbed.

Also, some of this stuff reminds me of people how are working on cloning dragons or unicorns. What are they using as the original?

Aoi - According to the website, they are already doing it. I guess they will be using whoever they deem worthy...elites, those with high IQ's. It looks like they get people to sign up and pay for immortality.

Norma, I worry about our kids and what they are going to have to live with in the future. This is beyond sick.

Sandi: take a loot at the cryonics movement, which started decades ago. The rich could afford it, but it has yet to work, and it probably won't. Even today's Singularity enthusiasts and transhumanists mostly eschew cryonics, which makes me wonder what similar folks will say about uploading in 20 years.
