OK today I got it in writing, I've accepted a job in Birmingham! I'll be working for Jefferson County. My husband is staying in the house with the dog and I'll get an apartment there. We'll do weekends for a while. It's a great opportunity and complicated month of preparation...

Congratulations!

I've always liked Birmingham, and I have heard that it is a very nice town to live in. It's just 2-1/2 hours from Atlanta, so y'all come see us!

I think that sounds exciting Erica! It all will work out. We did something similar years back - kept house here, hubby had apartment in Atlanta, then back here for good. Let me know when you need some comfort food [hot sauce and/or salsa] - Atlanta did not have good Mexican food at all, not sure about Alabama.
