'Sodium Carbonate Crystals' - can be used in a bath or tub for aching limbs after sport or gardening etc., or as a water softener in the washing. Available in supermarkets apparently.

Sandi, that is very funny!

This old mare is not ready to be put out to pasture yet! I spent a few hours driving the tractor/chaser bin in the last couple of days & managed fine. (Chaser bin follows harvester & takes grain back to field bins or trucks) Harvest is going well - lentils, barley & wheat so far.
Still walking stiffly but improving daily.

Have you managed to 'flip over' yet Melinda? Hope you are healing well.

MJ I like your attitude - life is to live and enjoy! Sounds like you were having fun on the tractor/chaser now that you finally got on it. Glad to hear you are improving - it just takes time from a nasty accident like that.

I have flipped over ;) and am staying upright now, no more floor for me! Looks like a front is going to move down from Canada early next week so if the weather gets bad I will be housebound for sure.

What with harvest, Christmas & family committments, I have been putting off getting advice on my knee. 15 weeks on it is still uncomfortable climbing or descending stairs or slopes, & getting up off the floor is very difficult.
Today I saw a Dr. & a Physiotherapist at a sports clinic in the city, who were both very reassuring. Seems I haven't broken anything & time will heal. They encouraged me to walk, get back on my bike & do some strengthening exercises. (Lift a bag of rice on my foot) What a drama . . .

Melinda - hope all is well with your foot now.

Good you finally got in to see someone mj - great to hear nothing broking or torn. HOpe the exercising helps - I think this is an injury that needs patience. Good luck!

Foot seems to be doing ok - still swollen though, will see what the physical therapist says when I see her in a couple weeks.

Take care!!
