I know this kind of topic has been done before but I had to share this story.
Last week my daughter (3 years old) got a letter staying she her immunisations needed updating. I debated how much to tell her, but decided to go with the truth. I told her she needed to go to the doctor to have two needles in her legs to stop her getting poorly. She was a bit quiet but didn't seem too bothered so I left it there. Later on I heard her telling her dad that it was "finally her turn" to have needles just like mummy!!!! Lol! Seems after watching all of my blood tests she wanted to try it out!
The jabs went without a hitch and she's telling everyone how brave she is & that she's just like me!!
I'm not in a huge rush to repeat the experience i must say - but I'm relieved she doesn't have my fear of needles! And it did make me smile
Now she wants to know when she has to go back again
