Minus 4 F this morning, and worse is coming, Friday should be high of minus 12 and lows to minus 20. Good grief.

You are having what we had a few weeks ago - an arctic front that decided to linger for a while, nasty. Cuddl Duds saved the day - wore them constantly and my leg warmers, in the house!

It's mild here in London, UK, about 10 degrees centigrade, something like 50 degrees F. Part of that is the urban heat island effect for anyone who remembers their school geography.

Didn't go down to the River Thames for the fireworks last night but watched them on television while hearing them from outside at the same time which was a bit odd.

ITP officially in remission, and starting a new job next week so it's all good for me. Hope the New Year brings happiness to everyone.

We actually had a nice sunny day; it melted a lot of the ice that was on the trees and wires. Now, it's -16 right now, but will probably get colder! Our temps are in Celcius. Hopefully a good day to restore power to those who were out for 10+ days.

Ooh yes, Centigrade shows my age. Celcius is the modern name for the same scale. Rain and wind here over Christmas meant lots of people without power. Sunny today, pub lunch later.

New Year's Eve was 37C (98F) here. We have our daughters & their little boys staying. Along with our son & his family that's 7 little boys to chase! We all spent the evening on the beach with some of their friends & kids. It was an absolutely beautiful, calm, warm evening with kids swimming, a BBQ picnic & beach cricket. I said to Greg "see what we created?"!
We were worn out by 11.20pm after putting everyone through the bath & into bed. Went up the street to celebrate with some friends & begged a cup of tea!!
Today we had 4 generations for lunch, 18 caused quite a ruccous. Our Christmas gift to the inlaws was a lobster & prawn lunch. Made sausage rolls for the little ones. Am very tired & our home has been turned upside down but what a special day.

It's cold here - 28 degrees and is supposed to get much colder later. I've been hibernating. I have to go out later today and that will render me useless.

I actually went for a run on New Years Day! Outside, 3.5 miles! It was cold but it was not really as bad as I thought it would be. It was 18 F and a wind chill of 0. Jimmy Hendrix and I ran together!

We are supposed to get 8 inches on snow with a high of o on Monday and a windchill of -37. Please send me to AZ asap
