  • Take a look on the Amgen site, I'm their "poster girl", if you will, for Nplate. It's kind of a nice video, probably tells my story as well as I could here.

I found this website and I just think the work is SO amazing- he's done cells in glass, really some spectacular stuff. I hope y'all will enjoy it as much as I do, I'm not sure if I did the link part right so if it won't click through just cut and paste it into your browser.

I'm good Sandi. Been busy with life, I've been on Nplate and it's been working pretty well for me. I took my last shot last week though, in preparation for going on a study- hopefully I'm going to wind up back on AKR501 which worked for me back when they had the study going originally. I'd REALLY like to get away from the weekly shot. I'll have 50/50 odds of either the drug I want or Promacta, which I've also already been on and it did not work. Fingers are crossed!

How about you, how've you been doing?

Well I hate to hijack your art thread.

Lots going on these days. The biggest move is that I quit my job after 16 years. I am making major lifestyle changes due to on-going medical issues. It took years to be able to do this, but it's time. My last day is October 4th.

Good luck with new drug!
